PAUL BAILEY

My journey into dealing with stress started in my previous career as a minister while supporting and helping people through the most difficult times of their lives, such as dealing with the loss of a love one, sickness, relational issues, basically most of the life circumstances that cause unhealthy stress.

This was followed by my own personal experience of dealing with the long-term personal stress of being in a highly stressful situation and seeking help for myself, which ultimately led to studying the impact of stress, how to cope with it and understand why I was experiencing it. In my personal development of dealing with stress I did training around stress management as it relates to relational dynamics, conflict, emotional intelligence and dealing with difficult people. This in turn same time provided me with the tools to help others.

My Approach

My approach to coaching others in Stress Mastery comes from a place of empathy, having been there myself. I take a highly supportive and understanding approach that does not diminish what an individual is feeling and while they may not be able to change the cause of the stress they can learn the tools to deal with it. This is achieved by determining the cause, the reaction and they applying practical tools and techniques from the Stress Mastery program as well as others such as emotional intelligence, understanding personalities, dealing with conflict, etc.
