How I Became a Stress Master

My own journey of stress caused me to have anxiety, adrenal burnout and losing a great deal of of sleep due to stress being a master in my life.

 

 

Subsequently, my health, work and relationships where at risk if I did not learn to change my thoughts and behaviors that were contributing to my stress. My coaching journey was the vehicle for opening my eyes and helping me to make very tough decisions in my life. From there, I learned to let go of my destructive thinking and learned ways to master my stress, so it didn’t master me. I invite you to partner with me where I will guide you on your journey of mastering your stress.

I have been working in the Individual and Leadership Wellness field for over 20 years as a Social Worker, Organisational Psychologist and Executive Coach.  Over the years I have seen that stress is a consistent part of individual challenges that affects their physical and emotional health.  My specialty is working with Executives and Leaders who are faced with workplace and personal stress that poses a challenge on their career, personal and relational success and satisfaction. Over the years I have helped many executives who have faced very difficult and challenging situations in their career and personal life, making step changes and as a result have dramatically improved their quality of life in a very meaningful way. They have gained a better sense of emotional balance and wellbeing and been empowered to master their stress in such a way that they can show up the way they want to show up for themselves, for others and in their career.

My Approach

If you are ready to improve the quality of your life personally and in your career, I am excited to work with you. My experience is that when an executive is tired of being exhausted and stressed due to the negative impact on work and personal life, they are ready to learn how to master stress.

When we work together, we will start with a conversation about your challenges and needs and what you would like to achieve in the coaching. I will share my strategy and goals for our coaching. To make sure that we focus on the right elements causing stress for you, you will complete an online stress assessment called the Stress Mastery Questionnaire (SMQ) and, with the results, we will work together to form the appropriate goals and means for mastering stress.

As part of the coaching process, you will receive a stress mastery workbook that will serve as the foundation for us to build on, partnering in a journey where you will learn to master your stress.

In this guided coaching process, you will get the opportunity to learn and implement the strategies that are set out to help you to master the negative stress in your life. We know that life is stressful and while some stress is good to help us perform, it is evident that today’s stress levels are detrimental to our physical, emotional and mental health. The ultimate benefit is that you will reduce the risk of health-related issues, improve the quality of your life and find greater personal efficiency.

After the SMQ process, many of my clients move into my Executive Wellbeing coaching program. During the coaching process  learn about how to reshape their mindsets and attitudes resulting in sustainable behavior changes. They further master  the ability to be the best version of themselves experiencing quality of life, success at work,  internal peace and happiness.
